APOLDA CHURCH 2012
Videomapping in Neogothic Church
Apolda World Bells,
Luther Church Apolda, 2012
During the unique event of the "Apolda Wordbells" live streams from all over the world were broadcasted to the Luther Church of Apolda,
with synchronized events being held in the partner towns, celebrating the sound of giant church bells made in Apolda around the world.
Bells were tolled in Cologne, Jerusalem, Helsinki, Oak Ridge and Kathmandu and could be heard and seen via live internet stream in the Aploda Luther church.
In addition there were live concerts and speeches.
We created specific vidoemappings on the large front altar space for each livecast and two videomapping shows for the live performance of the music and dance group Anklam&Gatscha, transforming the church into dreamscapes of oceanic scenery, glowing ephemeral structures and a garden of eden including ivy-covered pillars,
flocks of birds and ladybugs.
